Writing Workshop Archives 2000-2019

Writing Workshop simply supplements current classwork before school hours.

In contrast to other North Fork classes, Writing Workshop has NO HOMEWORK: students explore a variety of writing across subject areas; learn the process of drafting, editing, critiquing (and receiving critiques), revising and publishing in a safe, fun, hands-on environment.

Writing Archives below reflect the variety of WW student production in the past eighteen years. While we sometimes work on longer research projects, and sometimes read short stories to begin understanding textual reference and analysis at a basic level, each year of WW is tailored to the students who are in class.

As a celebration of the creativity and needs of the students in each year, elements covered in Writing Workshop only touch on currents that are the focus of academic North Fork School classes.  Parents should research North Fork School upper level classes to fully understand the academic rigor of our programs.
